Hi, I’m Nathalie 👋🏼
Product Designer based in New York City
My passion for UX started in 2017 when I supported one of Bloomberg’s digital products (but I didn’t know it then).
I heard about user experience from a colleague that shared about his role within the UX department. I quickly realized that user experience was that “thing” I deeply cared about in my current role supporting clients. I did more research on the UX discipline, networked, and read books—then full-heartedly leaped into UX.
Here’s how the rest of my UX journey timeline goes:
2018: I joined the UX department at Bloomberg where I worked in a team managing and creating UX standards and guidelines in order to improve the design system.
I completed a 10-week General Assembly course in UX Design.
2020: I joined Pratt Institute’s Master’s program in Information Experience Design, and graduated in the Spring of 2023.
I worked on a few design projects next to my core responsibilities.
2022: I became an Interaction Designer for Bloomberg’s Buyside products. I helped with a product migration that was used by about 20k users. This included redesigning as well as creating new experiences.
2023: I transitioned to the Employee Productivity team helping design CRM tools for Bloomberg’s internal sales team. My focus was with leading the product and engineering teams to alignment and strategic direction of product development.
In both roles, I collaborated closely with product managers and engineers to integrate UX seamlessly into product development. I focused on bridging UX and business needs while advocating a user-centered approach. My strength lies in effective communication, which I believe is key to successful collaboration.
2024: I stepped away from the corporate world to create a path that felt more aligned with my vision.
I began freelancing to small organizations and businesses both in design and coaching.
I also leaned into my creative interests like writing, teaching yoga, and music.
